DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you are part of a team that provides customer-oriented and fast support, works in a solution-oriented and advisory manner, ensuring maximum availability, efficient and optimal use of IT solutions used by customers and employees of Partena Professional. You will be responsible for a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving and ensuring that agreed procedures and standards are followed.

💼 What we expect from you:

• Managing incidents of production running software: determining the causes, escalating to the appropriate teams, monitoring and resolving tickets within the agreed time;

• Troubleshooting/analyzing Microsoft-related solutions, coordinating with network and infrastructure teams to restore functionality or provide a workaround;

• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes;

• Actively participating in the further development of the DevOps team (maintaining & creating documentation and procedures), able to deploy in production settings for releases, changes, ...;

• Participation in projects and coordinating projects when new tools are needed in our solutions;

• Monitoring processes end-to-end and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing downtime;

• Writing scripts to perform monitoring tasks that fall outside the scope and capabilities of monitoring systems;

• A bachelor's/master's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent through experience;

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operational ICT team;

• Extensive knowledge of operating systems: Windows servers;

• Good knowledge of Active Directory, IIS, Windows security (event logs, group policies), Microsoft Windows Server & Client OS/O365/Azure;

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thoroughly resolve application issues, i.e. reading and understanding installation log files, etc;

• Database notions (mainly SQL);

• Knowledge in deployment tools such as Octopus, Azure DevOps(TFS) is a plus;

• You are flexible to implement changes while limiting the impact on the activity of our end users, occasional work outside office hours is therefore not a problem;

• A good communicator, both orally and in writing. Able to collaborate seamlessly with other IT professionals (e.g. developers, testers, infrastructure, DBAs, external vendors, etc.) on key architectural decisions and delivery of work;

• Fluent in French or Dutch (and able to work with colleagues/customers in the other language if necessary) and good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
